Dr. Corey Walker

Dr. Walker was born in 1978 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and raised in Christopher, Illinois which is a small town located about 80 miles Southwest of Flora. He attended Christopher Community High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball all four years. He graduated in May of 1996 as Salutatorian of his class and was given the award for leadership by the faculty and the Army National Scholar Athlete award as well. In addition, Dr. Walker received a Presidential Scholarship to Mckendree College where he majored in Biology and continued his football career.

Dr. Walker transferred to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale the following year and majored in Physiology with a minor in Chemistry. He was a member of the Pre-Professional Association at SIU and the Golden Key National Honor Society for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Excellence.

Dr. Walker began Logan College of Chiropractic in the Fall of 2002, where he was on the Deans List all ten trimesters. Dr. Walker graduated with his Bachelor's in Human Biology, from Logan College of Chiropractic in February of 2003. He finished his Doctorate of Chiropractic in December of 2005, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Walker was the Valedictorian of his class of nearly 120 doctors and was awarded the Basic Science Award of Excellence for having the highest grade point average the first four timesters of school. He is listed in the Who's Who of Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Dr. Walker recieved a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Academic Achievement while at Logan. In addition, he received a Clinical Proficiency Certificate for completion of 2 years of clinical educational and practice including ancillary physical therapeutics and structural radiographic technique and analysis. In addition, Dr. Walker obtained a Certificate of Attainment from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners for successful completion of Parts I, II, III, IV and the Physiotherapy Examination of the National Board Examinations.   

After graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in December 2005, Dr. Walker left St. Louis, Missouri, and came to Flora, Illinois.  In September of 2006 he took over Clay County Chiropractic. 

Dr. Walker has developed Back Care Programs for local factories including Sherwin Williams/Minwax and Southwire. In addition, Dr. Walker performs DOT Physicals for the Flora School Districts Bus Drivers as well as commercial trucking companies.

Dr. Walker has been a member of the Flora Elks Lodge since 2006.
